Cílem tohoto předmětu je systémová i praktická znalost anglické syntaxe. Důraz je kladen zejména na pochopení syntaktické terminologie a schopnosti jejího uplatnění při syntaktických rozborech anglických příkladových vět a textů. Sylabus: 1. Introduction to phrases and clauses 2. Complex noun phrases I 3. Complex noun phrases II 4. Valency patterns 5. The verb and the verb phrase 6. Adjectives and adverbs 7. The grammar of clause 8. Independent clauses 9. Dependent clauses 10. Verb and adjective complement clauses 11. Adverbials 12.
