Stručná anotace předmětu: Cílem předmětu je ukázat studentům možnosti využití počítačů jako praktického pomocníka a prostředníka při výuce cizího jazyka. Mezi možnosti, které se v této oblasti nabízejí, patří kromě dnes již běžných elektronických slovníků a programů zaměřených na procvičování gramatiky také aktivní používání online zdrojů a elektronické (individuální i skupinové) komunikace. Sylabus semináře: 1. Klady a zápory počítačem podporované výuky jazyků (Strengths and weaknesses of Computer-Assisted Language Learning) 2. Použití slovníků na CD-ROM (Using CD-ROM dictionaries) 3. Použití online slovníků. (Using online dictionaries) 4. Použití CD-ROM programů k procvičování gramatiky. (Using grammar-training software) 5. Použití online zdrojů k procvičování gramatiky. (Using grammar-training online resources) 6. Počítačem podporovaný nácvik výslovnosti. (Computer-Assisted Pronunciation Exercises) 7. Počítačem hodnocené porozumění textu. (Computer-Assessed Reading Comprehension) 8. Stylistické aspekty osobní komunikace v cizím jazyce prostřednictvím internetu. (Foreign-language personal communication over the Internet and related stylistic concerns.) 9. Výuka cizího jazyka prostřednictvím skupinových online projektů I: V rámci skupin domácích uživatelů. (Foreign language learning through online projects I: Domestic learner communities) 10. Výuka cizího jazyka prostřednictvím skupinových online projektů II: V rámci skupin domácích a zahraničních uživatelů.
