Course objectives
This course focuses on the physics of strongly interacting particles. Attention is paid to the laws of conservation in strong interactions and their violation by electromagnetic and weak interactions, as well as the classification of hadrons and clarification of observed patterns on the basis of the quark-parton model.
Syllabus
  • Charge independence of strong interactions. Experimental indication of charge symmetry and charge independence in nuclear and particle physics, SU(2), her relationship with the group O(3) and its representation.
Strange particles. The discovery of associated production of strange particles
