Course objectives
The main aim of this course is to improve the students` ability to communicate in the German language. Students will learn about various communication strategies and practice German in different ways, such as interviews, self-testing, recitation, etc. The main focus of the course is on communication skills, especially comprehension, pronunciation, the ability to respond in the foreign language and verbal skills. The ability to communicate will be practised by the use of different methods such as role play, dialogue, discussion, description, game, monologue, arguments, story-telling, etc. during the lessons. For the homework students will focus on short videos in German and articles from newspapers. In this context the aim is to learn how to distinguish between important and unimportant information and how to write a summary and express one's own opinion.
