Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide systematic overview concerning cultural background studies of the Czech Republic and main German-speaking countries in German. The individual lectures will introduce geography, history, culture, tourism regions and sights of particular countries. Special attention will be paid to spa and particular healing procedures in given destinations. The main aim is to inform students of cultural studies characterising particular countries, of areas attractive from tourism point of view, of spa destinations and at the same time to improve their language skills and ability of independent and fluent performance in German.
