Course objectives
The course deals with teaching and student assessment, self-assessment, planning, and evaluation of tests. Students will learn how to make various types of tests, test batteries. Attention will be paid to question - answer process and grading. Syllabus: 1. Teaching and testing 2. Kinds of tests 3. Validity and reliability 4. Stages of test construction 5. Testing vocabulary 6. Testing grammar 7. Testing pronunciation 8. Testing listening skills 9. Testing speaking skills 10. Testing reading skills 11. Testing writing skills 12. Continuous assessment The course work taks the form of a portfolio in which students record their comments and questions as well as the fulfilled tasks concrerning tests created for testing particular language skills.
