Students will acquire the knowledge necessary to create client-side scripts.
Syllabus
  • 1. Syntax:
      - Built-in types
      - Variable
      - Pperators
      - Statements
      - Object oriented access to elements in document
      - Object oriented model for event processing
    1. Fundamentals of programs:
      - Lexical structure
      - Commands
      - Built-in functions and subroutines
    3. Software processing:
      - Client object model
      - Events on the client side
      - Writing into the strem of document and create objects on the client side
      - Modification of the properties of the object (CSS)
      - Processing of user data before sending it to the server side
      - The dynamic exchange of data with the server without a page refresh
    4. Dynamic model behavior of the client:
    - Creating of events
    - Treatment of events
    - Bubbling events to parents objects

Teacher's information
To obtain the credit, students must hand in a semester project. The semester project consists of scripts created by students on a theme obtained after a consultation with the lecturer, by the midway through the teaching period. The scripts must functional and error free and will perform on the theme.
The exam consists of a consultation about the semester project. The evaluation of the project will focus on its overall completion, namely: the reliability of the scripts used algorithm and tools, student's personal contribution to the work on the theme, possibilities of further development of the scripts and also students' understanding of the issues and the acquired knowledge during the course.
