- Course objectives
- This course deals with contemporary British literature, including its postcolonial element. It covers a wide range of literary genres currently cultivated in Great Britain, Ireland and the Commonwealth countries. The goal is to support the skill of well-informed and erudite interpretation of literary texts, often mirroring the present times.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to define the main features of British and Commonwealth literature with its main representatives and their works. Students will be able to perform critical analyses of texts from different time periods and genres. They will also know how to apply basic literary terms and use secondary sources.
