Course objectives
The course Practical Exercises 6 is the sixth in a series of language courses with the intention of systematically developing all language competences, ie grammar, vocabulary, writing, listening and speaking. The level of the textbook discussed corresponds to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. (English File Advanced 6-10)
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning
Express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions
Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes
Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing a controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices

(Unit 7) permission, obligation, and necessity; intonation 5. (Unit 7) perception and sensation; -ure 6. (Unit 8) advanced gerunds and infinitives; homophones 7. (Unit 8) expressing future plans and arrangements 8. (Unit 9) ellipsis; auxiliary verbs and TO 9. (Unit 9) nouns, compound and possessive forms 10. (Unit 10) relative clauses; homographs 11.
