- Making students acquainted with software packages for doing maths and computational physics.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction to computer physics, basic concepts and methods
2. Introduction to numerical calculations - computer diagram, variables, memory handling, accuracy of numerical calculations, errors
3. Fundamentals of programming - algorithms design and their implementation, program management structure, IDE
4. Numerical methods - interpolation, equation solving, numerical derivation and integration, random numbers and methods monte carlo
5. Fundamentals of programming in Python and C - syntax of programming language, keywords, libraries
6. Fundamentals of signal analysis - one-dimensional and multidimensional signal, signal discretization and quantization, frequency and power spectrum, Fourier transform, convolution, filtration
7. Parallel Computing - Parallel Computer Structure, Parallelisation Library (OpenMP), Graphic Card Calculations (CUDA)
8. Introduction to Wolfram Mathematica
