- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to prepare graduates for practice in the development of information systems. Students gain knowledge about structured and object-oriented approach to IS analysis and design, methodologies and methods of IS analysis and design. An important part of the lesson is the explanation of the purpose and content of the individual stages of the IS development process and of the development team's work.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to understand and apply structured and object-oriented approaches to information systems analysis and design, describe information systems development methodologies and methods and explain their role in practice, analyze information system requirements using structured analysis methods, design an information system using object-oriented models (e.g. UML), identify classes, their relationships and interactions as part of object-oriented design, and explain the fundamentals of IS/IT architecture design and modeling, including the purpose and content of individual stages of the information systems development process and the roles of the development team.
