- The goal of the course is to acquaint students with the functions of the components in personal computers. The lectures are focused on the solutions common in the practice.

Structure of a computer, BIOS, EFI BIOS.
Motherboards.
Processors.
Communication of devices (IRQ, DMA, I/O, memory adresses).
Internal memory.
External memory. RAID.
I/O devices.
Expansion cards - graphics, sound, network cards.
Device drivers.
Multithreaded programming.
