Course objectives
Cílem předmětu je sjednotit úroveň znalostí studentů v oblasti lexikální, gramatické i syntaktické s důrazem na komunikativní funkci a harmonický rozvoj všech čtyř jazykových dovedností (poslech, čtení, psaní, mluvení). Vychází se z faktu, že úroveň jazykových kompetencí přijatých studentů je různá a jsou tedy děleni do skupin podle úrovně svých znalostí (začátečníci, mírně pokročilí a pokročilí). Výběr správné úrovně viz: http://www.slu.cz/fpf/cz/kabinet-lektorskych-jazyku/aktuality/pokyny-pro-vyber-jazykove-skupiny. V závislosti na zařazení do skupiny se pracuje se třemi úrovněmi učebnice - Elementary, Pre-Intermediate a Intermediate.

Předmět je ukončen zápočtem, který studenti získají na základě aktivní účasti v hodinách, průběžného písemného či ústního testování a úspěšného absolvování zápočtového testu. V průběhu semestru mají studenti možnost získat 100 bodů jako maximum, přičemž k získání zápočtu je 70 bodů minimum. Studenti mají závaznou 75% docházku.
