Course objectives
The course provides an overview of Irish mythology, history of Ireland from the French Revolution to the 20th century. It also follows political and cultural events and their influence on the most important Irish poets writing in English.

Regular attendance to the seminars, presentation/essay and a successful
completion of a written test which would prove the students` ability to
apply theoretical background upon texts.
