Course objectives
The course focuses on the systematic development of language competencies of the students. Given the form of the studies, particular attention is paid to the listening skills and speaking skills, which are more difficult to develop by self-study than other language skills. The students will go through Units 1-3 in CAE Result. The course ends with an examination consisting of 5 parts: listening, grammar and vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking. Contents:  1. What are you like? (Finding the real you) Review of tenses Gapped sentences, Character adjectives Word formations, Expressions with luck 2. Customs and traditions (Festival in the desert) Gerunds and infinitives Open cloze , Relative clauses Easily confused words, Key word transformations 3. Looking ahead (Themed texts) Future forms Expressions connected with age, A formal letter Phrasal verbs with up and down, Multiple-choice cloze
