Course objectives
The goal of the course is to make students familiar with the problems of creating AV works of popular science (TV, radio, destined for the Internet) and to provide them with practical exercises during each phase of work, which results in writing and a in making the popular scientific film or TV show.
Syllabus
  • 1. Popularization of science in literature, historical development.
    2. New media and science, historical development.
    3. Popularizers of science as translators between the current scientific community and the public.
    4. Screenwriter of popular scientific works as a first reader, listener and viewer of AV work.
    5. Scenarios of AV work in the field of popular scientific film and television, cooperation of creators of the work with professional advisors.
    6. Time recording and time displayed processes in the development of AV works.
    7. Special cinematography techniques in the field of technical film and popularization of science in the film.
    8. The student and his topic in the field of science popularization.
    9. Students own scenario, and its professional and artistic opposition.
    10. Filming, editing and sound of his own works in the field of popularization of science and technology.
    11. Examples of significant AV works in the field.
    12. Analysis of foreign and own works in the field.
