Course objectives
Students enter university and in a short period of time they are faced with a substantial workload. This workload can be much easier to cope with if the students learn some of the important methods. The aim of this course is for them to learn how to organize their time, become more efficient in reading, working in seminars, writing essays and preparing for exams. Because the course is in English, it helps the students` development of language skills as well. Literature: Wallace, M. J.: Study skills in English, CUP, Cambridge, 1991. Fry, E.: Reading Faster, CUP, Cambridge, 1963. DeLeeuw E. and M.: Read Better, Read Faster, Penguin Books, Harmondsworth, 1965. Buzan, T.: Use your Head, BBC, London, 1974.
