Course objectives
In this course students shall deal with the language of advertisement, cartoons, and fiction. The aim is to see translation as a replacement of a representation of a text in one language by a representation of an equivalent text in a second language. The students will engage in translation from English to Czech.

Teacher's information
The students will be assigned excerpts from various sources. They will translate the texts at home and present their translations at seminars. To pass the course students have to attend at least 75% of the seminars.
