- Course objectives
- One-semester course of theoretical mechanics introduces selected parts of Newtonian mechanics of point particles, rigid bodies and the continuum. The explanation is based mainly on variational principles. In addition to sections of theoretical nature, some applications and examples illustrating the theoretical methods are also included.

- The test takes the form of an oral debate - the student will draw two test questions from the syllabus topics. The answer to each question is rated from 0 to 5 points. In total the student can earn up to 10 points. Before the debate with the examiner, the student has time for preparation. The test results are graded according to the classification table on a Web page (see link at Content).
