Course objectives
Introduction to psychology and social psychology introduce the listeners the basic knowledge of these disciplines according to the focus on media studies. Considerable attention will be paid to the relationships between sociology and photography, film, video / historical aspect, methods of interpretation, media techniques as sociological / a difficulty in sociological interpretations. The object of concern of both disciplines is the human action, creation, experience and its manifestations in the context of broader and narrower social environment that determines the personality. The course is designed to motivate students to think about themselves, to make their own creative works. By selected range of lecture topics the both courses will be designed primarily as introductory courses - Access to the questions in order to motivate interested students in a deeper understanding of the issue. By choosing the fields of study the fact was taken into account, that psychology and social psychology is not profiling discipline. Therefore are incorporated into thematic plan especially those issues which have a direct access to the multimedia studios with an emphasis on visual communication.
Syllabus
  • 1. Beneficial coexistence of philosophy, psychology, sociology.
    2. New paradigms of psychology, socio-cultural determination psyche.
    3. Basics of psychology of personality.
    4. Values and shaping of lifestyle, individuation, personalization, self-knowledge and auto-communication, self-esteem.
    5. Art as a significant factor of culture in human life, the Artephiletics - arts of experience, experience of art, from experience in the arts to experience in life. Mental processes associated with creative activity / perception, visual thinking, emotion, motivation /.,
    6. Basic phases of the creative process / preparation, incubation, inspiration, illumination / from experience in the arts to experience in life.
    7. Psychology of perception and experience.
    8. Sociology as a way of learning, interpretation and knowledge.,
    9. Visual media and sociology / techniques of observation, quantitative and qualitative sociology /.,
    10. Visual media in sociological research / documentary f, social f., subjective d., objectivity and subjectivity in the work of AV /.
    11. Audio-visual sociology, visual media and communication.
    12. Hermeneutics and interpretation of audiovisual images - texts.
