Course objectives
Introduction to basic numerical algorithms and their registration in C. Introduction to basic programming packages for mathematics and physics počítačovou. Application of numerical methods in selected topics, graphical output of simulation and experimental data.
Syllabus
  • Basics of numerical mathematics. Basic concepts - an algorithm error, rounding, calculation speed. Polynomial approximation, interpolation, numerical quadrature and summation, numerical differentiation, numerical solution of ordinary differential equations, approximation of functions, solving systems of linear equations, computing eigenvalues ??and eigenvectors.
    Software packages. Commercial - Mathematica, Maple, Matlab, Origin etc., non - gnuplot, Octave, etc.
    Selected topics: Modelling of simple physical systems, graphical representation and visualization of simulation and experimental data.
