- Course objectives
- The course deals with contemporary English-written literature, including its postcolonial element. In its scope, it covers all literary genres currently cultivated in Great Britain, Ireland and the Commonwealth nations. Selected texts to be analysed therefore include fiction, poetry, drama and literary criticism. The goal of the course is to facilitate the skill of well-informed and erudite interpretation of literary texts to a large degree mirroring our own times.

- Orientation in the contemporary English literature of various genres. The skill of critical analysis of literary texts.
