- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce some important chapters from the mathematics of university master study as the necessary mathematical training for the courses in physics. The chapters are chosen to follow the courses Mathematics I, II and III of bachelor study of Applied physics.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be experienced in calculus of functions of more variables.
- Syllabus
- 1. Basic theory of ordinary differential equations
2. Functions of two or more variables, differential calculus
3. Integral calculus of functions of two variables more
- 1. Basic theory of ordinary differential equations
- Teaching methods
- Lectures, discussions, problem solving.
- Assessment methods
- Within the semester, students are evaluated on the basis of two written tests and on the basis of their activity. The exam consists of two parts. In the first part, students are asked to solve five problems, while in the second one, students answer related questions.
