Course objectives
The course is focused on the systematic and comprehensive development of language competence and on the practical application of communicative skills for intermediate English speakers. Students will consolidate and deepen their knowledge of English grammar, expand their vocabulary and practice pronunciation. The emphasis will be on speaking and listening. Classes will be based on lessons 4-6 of the English File Intermediate 3rd Edition textbook.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- improve the knowledge of English grammar
- expand vocabulary;
- improve pronunciation;
Syllabus
  • Curriculum: 1. Can, could, be able to. Reflexive pronouns. 2. –ed / -ing adjectives. Sentence stress. 3. Modals of obligation. 4. Phone language. Silent consonants. Linking. 5. Past tenses (simple, continuous, perfect). 6. Sports. 7. Usually and used to + inf. 8. Relationships. Linking. The letter s. 9. Passives (all the tenses). 10. Cinema. Sentence stress. 11. Modals of deduction. 12. The body. Diphthongs. 13. Revise and check 4-6.
