Course objectives
The lecture is designed as an introduction to a series of topics concerning tendencies and trends in contemporary German language. In so doing, the focus will be on the current development in pronounciation, grammatical forms (morphology), syntax, vocabulary, etc. The goal of the course will be to acquire the linguistic tools needed to study especially the recent history of German. The discussed texts will include authentic examples of contemporary German, their analysis will deepen and extend the knowledge and understanding of contemporary language.

Self-study instructions will be provided through initial consultations, in the study support containing specific self-study tasks and comprehension checks and also references to the recommended literature.
