Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to contemporary art photography and to inspire students to create their own artistic work. The course is an introduction to self-reflection. Its conception is aimed at theoretical generalization of the procedures that the photographer uses in his work, mostly unconsciously or intuitively. The graduate is required to be able to approach creation with the ability to construct in a purposeful and verbally definable way, and to be able to apply the same to the analysis of the finished work, whether his own or someone else's. This presupposes, of course, that he is able to classify the work under analysis in terms of genre and that he is able to deal with areas where genres intersect. Transmissions are presented using animation methods (projections of films, photographs, exhibition openings, etc.), which encourage dialogue, the search for broader contexts and the context of lived reality.
