Course objectives
Objectives: The essence of the subject is to obtain theoretical and practical information about the possibility of using music therapy activities, specifically holistic music therapy in practice. The subject is conducted in the form of an experiential workshop, theory is intertwined with the practical part. The theoretical area focuses on the basic starting points, possibilities, directions of music therapy, the influence of music on humans, the characteristics of a specific music therapy direction - Holistic music therapy, its influence on the human body, forms, instruments used, principles, principles. Introduction of instruments specific to holistic music therapy. The practical part focuses on one's own experience - introduction of natural tuning instruments, rhythm creation, practical use of instruments within the active form of music therapy and music therapy orchestra and completion of the receptive form of music therapy.
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes: Professional knowledge: - the student is able to define and theoretically define the term music therapy - the student is able to characterize a holistic music therapy approach - the student knows the basic rules and principles and forms of music therapy - the student is able to specify the influence of the voice on the human organism - the student is familiar with interpersonal communication within music therapy Professional skills: - the student masters the basic strokes on the djembe - the student masters the basic rhythm creation - the student masters the playing of percussion instruments General competencies: - the student can assess and appropriately adapt the space for a music therapy circle - the student can assess the suitability of the form of music therapy activity for a specific group - the student can evaluate the suitability of individual instruments and their use in a music therapy circle according to the individual needs of the individual

Content: 1. Terminological definition of music therapy 2. Origin and development of music therapy 3. Goals of music therapy 4. Music therapy approaches and directions 5. Specifics of holistic music therapy, origin, development 6. Music therapy instruments 7. Basic knowledge of percussion instruments, types 8. Forms of holistic music therapy – individual, group, active, receptive 9. Active form of holistic music therapy – principles, room preparation 10. Receptive form of holistic music therapy – principles, room preparation 11. Verbal and nonverbal communication within music therapy activities 12. Self-reflection, sharing

The condition for registering for credit is the written processing and creation of an active and receptive form of holistic music therapy for a person/group of people with mental disabilities. Completion of assigned tasks on an ongoing basis.
