Prerequisites
The prerequisite for successful mastery of the subject is regular participation in lectures and seminars, which are implemented in an interactive form. During the seminars, students are introduced to the practical use of tools and methods on a selected case study in relation to the chosen services and roles of the social worker.

Course objectives
The course introduces the student to the issues of systemic social work with the family, the historical context and current tools of assistance. Another important component is the process of providing social activation services, social rehabilitation and their changes within the framework of social constructivism. The student must learn how to analyze the family situation from the perspective of the environmental approach and master the basics of the systemic approach to solving the social situation of families.
Learning outcomes
student orientation: - the development of the concept of family and its changes - the importance of children's needs and their place in society - can use diagnostic approaches from the perspective of the family life story - knows the possibilities of social services in helping families - knows the duties and rights of social workers at different levels of social services and government administration
