Course objectives
In its three freely chronologically successive study blocks, the course is intended to approximate the main trends and key events from history of international relations and diplomacy in the region of central and eastern Europe from the end of World War I till present day. The first block reminds the forms and decline of Versailles system as well as preparation of new organization of central-eastern Europe after World War II, the second then follows the foreign policy and diplomacy of Soviet block in the period of cold war, the third deals with current international relations in given region. The specific attention is then paid to foreign policy of Czechoslovakia and the Czech republic and relation with neighbour countries and superpowers. The main aim is to portray the continuity of historical development, influential and international relations and solving key regional problems in current globalized world.

    8. Main concepts and trends of current international relations viewed by central and eastern Europe
    9. Russian foreign policy after 1991
    10. Conflicts and stabilization of youth-east Europe
    11. Perspectives of integration and cooperation of central European countries
    12. Problems of regional cooperation in north-east Europe
