- Course objectives
- The main aim of the course is: - provide the students with information paying the attention to danger of secondary victimization of victims in performance of their profession - strengthen their empathy to victims of offences and domestic violence The course integrates selected findings from psychology, criminology and law in application on issue of victims of offences including victims of traffic accidents. Lectures will provide the students with elementary knowledge of impact of offence on victim and risk of secondary victimization which can occur in contact of victims with professionals. Specific attention will be paid to issue of domestic violence. In seminars, the students will acquire deeper view in issue of work with victims aimed at current problems in the Czech republic. The seminar will comprise also film production which will mediate illustratively the experience of victims. The course is intended only for the 3rd year students of PARP.
