Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide the students with new phenomena and processes which bring dynamic development of human civilisation in last decades and enable them to orientate in political, social, economic and cultural tendencies of current globalising world. The way-out of the course is the definition of globalisation as currently ongoing phase of human society and their specific features including introduction of so far scientific and social reflexion of globalisation. In its next part, the attention will be paid to manifestation of globalisation in economy, its ecological impacts, global (globalised) culture as well as development and perspectives of national states in globalising state, including analysis of role of supranational, global organisations (WTO, UN). The final part of the course will deal with manifestations of globalisation in everyday life, perspectives of development of globalising trends and possible solutions of problems which occur.
