- The prerequisite for successful mastery of the subject is regular participation in lectures and seminars, which are implemented in an interactive form. During the seminars, students are introduced to the practical use of tools and methods on a selected case study in relation to the chosen services and roles of the social worker.

- Course objectives
- The course introduces the student to the problems of systemic social work with the family, the historical context and current tools of assistance. Another important part is the process of providing social activation services, social rehabilitation and their changes within the framework of social constructivism. The student must learn to analyze the family situation from the perspective of the environmental approach and master the basics of the systemic approach to solving the social situation of families.

- student orientation: - the development of the concept of family and its changes - the importance of children's needs and their place in society - is able to use diagnostic approaches from the perspective of the family life story - understands the duties of OSDPOD social workers - knows the duties and rights of social workers at different levels of social services and state administration

- 1. Family, protection of childhood - historical excursus and in modern history, syn. CAN and its development 2. Children's needs, attachment, parenting 3. Assessment of the family and its possibilities, forms of foster care - guardian, foster parent, adoptive parent, institutional care 4. Rights and duties of the OSPOD social worker in the context of family assessment and local investigation 5. Paradigms of SPOD - modern trends, changes in the Czech legal system 6. interim measures, types, use 7. Instruments for SPOD in the Czech Republic, including their anchoring in Czech legislation 8. Conflict guardian, child confidant, confidentiality 9. tasks of organisations accompanying foster families 10. Tasks of OSPOD social workers - in relation to the child at risk, foster parents and the family 11. Services and their implementation when working with a problem family and when working with a foster family 12. Service planning - case study issues - methods of social work 13.
