- Course objectives
- The course is designed for beginners in Russian. The course is based on developing communicative competence, especially in listening with comprehension and dialogue in connection with reading and writing skills. With regard to specific features of initial phase of learning the great emphasis is put (especially in introductory lessons) on sound and graphic side of language. The study of language is closely connected with extra-language knowledge in which mainly facts from modern as well as older Russian realia are mentioned. The consistent training with focus on development of speaking skills is emphasised. The teaching is based on principles of European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment.
