Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to introduce the selected chapters from history of woman, mainly with forms of theoretical reflexion of its substance in mythology, philosophy, religion and psychological concepts, in lesser degree with history of women movement in the world in the Czech republic. The tutorials will be dedicated to the development of issues of lectures and discussion about topical social issues from the point view of "gender" (mainly in the Czech republic and Slovak republic or in comparison to other European countries and USA). The aim of the course is to develop the ability of students to reflect issue from the point of its gender aspect both in the field of theory and in every day routine and cultivate their ability to take independent opinion on current problems and their solution on the base of theoretically funded argumentation.

    8. Origin of feminist philosophical reflexion in works of S. de Beauvoir: The Second Sex
    9. Some current forms of feminist, so called men studies
    10. Brief history of feminism in the world
    11. History of feminism in the Czech republic, the contribution of T. G. Masaryk
