Course objectives
The aim of the course English for Public Administration 3 is that the graduates are able to lead basic communication in English about topics relating to their future profession, orientation in these topics (specialized word-stock in PA 3), as well as development of language skills of general English. The focus will be put on all parts of study of Language: Grammar, Reading, Listening, Speaking and especially on part Writing. In the group of pre-intermediate the elementary language skills and thematic circles will be deepened according to textbook English 365 Book 2. The student will focus on enlarging grammatical knowledge and listening of texts. The testing according to KET certificate will serve as a supplementary material. In the group of intermediate the elementary findings are developed deeper and the specialized word-stock and thematic circles according to English 365, Book 3 is being enlarged notably. The student will focus on enlargement of grammatical knowledge, especially part English in Use and text listening. The testing according to FCE certificate will serve as a supplementary material. The course is intended for Department of Public Administration and Regional Policy students only.

Teacher's information
The students are obliged to pass a test from specialised word-stock of PA3. Pre -intermediate students will write as a pre-exam test a PET test - part WRITING. Intermediate students will write as a pre-exam test a FCE test - part English in Use.
