- Course objectives
- The main aim of the course "Fundamentals of criminal law" is to acquaint students with the basics of criminal law and criminal procedural law. In another part, students learn about criminal prosecution of people 15 to 18 years - young offender and other provisions related to criminal law. At the conclusion of the study, students attend the trial in the building of the District Court in Opava.

- 1. Criminal Law - Act No. 140/1961Coll. subsequently amended.
2. General Part - concept definition: offense, facts of the crime, objective and subjective aspect, the circumstances precluding unlawfulness penalties - the concept, types, safety measures and other basic concepts - § 89 of the Criminal Law.
3. Special section - Title I-XII, selected facts of the crime.
4. Code of criminal procedure - Act No. 141/1962 Coll. subsequently amended - the court and those participating in the proceedings, general provisions, ensuring the people and objects, evidence, decisions, pre-trial proceedings, court proceedings, remedies and procedures on them, special methods of management.
5. Act No. 218/2003 Coll. on Juvenile Justice - the specifics of the criminal proceedings in young offender.
6. Act No. 200/1990 Coll. Offences.
7. Act No. 169/1999 Coll. Execution of a punishment imprisonment.
8. Act No. 257/2000 Coll. Probation and Mediation Service - the position of probation and mediation services within the institutions of law enforcement, criminal proceedings diversions.
9. The amended Criminal law (according to the legislative process).
