Course objectives
The aim of the course is to apprise students with selected chapters from the history of women, but mainly with forms of theoretical reflectionof the mythology, philosophy, religion and psychological concepts. In a lesser extent, there will be history of the women's movement in the world and in the Czech republic. The seminars will be focused on development of lectures and discussions on current social problems in terms of "gender" especially in the Czech Republic or in comparison with other countries. The aim of the course is to develop the ability of students to reflect the issue from the point of view of the gender aspect, both in theory and in everyday life and cultivate their ability to perform an own opinion on present problems and their solutions, based on theoretical argumentation.
