Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide the students with fundamental concepts, processes, principles and instruments of environmental policy both on general level and in the frame of EU and the Czech republic. The way out of the course is the outline of ecological aspects and impacts of modern civilisation development. The students will be presented the primary ecological terms, current global issues of environment and subsequently also the main periods, streams and concepts of ecological movement from the second half of the 20th century. The second part of the course deals with ecological policy proper - it presents the cycle of policy of environment, its participants and instruments to students. After this general outline, the brief outline of development, principal documents and current strategies and projects of environmental policy of EU follow. The final part of the course provides the outline of current state of environment in the Czech republic and presents the conceptual, institutional and law development of ecological policy in the Czech republic including its political and social connections.
