- Course objectives
- The aim of the course Theory of Public Administration is to introduce students to the basic aspects of public administration, administrative science in a broader social context. Particular attention will be paid to the tasks of the state, its authorities, cities and municipalities in the field of social security, as part of the main subjects of social policy. Attention will also be paid to local government bodies, organizational principles and basic models of public administration. Part of the lectures is devoted to public administration reforms in the last decades. The seminar will focus on selected issues which will be outlined in the lectures. - Students will be able to orientate themselves in current administrative systems, institutions and processes, in basic documents and in the activities of state and local government in the international context. The interdisciplinary nature of the subject and the need for a comparative approach and the observation of the social, legal and political context of public administration will be emphasised in the teaching

- Teaching is implemented in the form of lectures, discussions on the material discussed.
