Course objectives
The subject will provide knowledge and information about the tools of the state employment policy to solve the situation, about the forms of active and passive employment policy, about the ways to transition from an unfavorable situation to TP, observes the specifics of TP (segmentation, mobility). The study of the issue is conducted in the context of employment policy in EU.
Learning outcomes
Expertise: Knowledge of the issues of employment policy and the labor market, orientation in the given issue, ability to work with ÚP clients. Professional skills: knowledge of legislation, application of professional knowledge in practice and their connection with the needs of practice, orientation in professional literature, ability to perform analytical work. General Eligibility: The student is able to perceive connections and prevent possible risks and the emergence of socially problematic phenomena. Their creativity and ability to make independent and responsible decisions will also be supported.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to the issue, definition of the goal and content of the subject, familiarization with the literature and other sources, concepts. 2. Legislation – Act No. 435/2004 Coll. on employment, as amended, Act No. 262/2006 Coll., Labor Code, Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the stay of foreigners in the territory of the Czech Republic and on the amendment of certain laws, concepts 3. Employment policy and the labor market in economic theories 4. Employment policy in the Czech Republic and other Central European countries in the context of the EU (Strategy, semesters) 5. State administration bodies ensuring state employment policy in the Czech Republic (MPSV, Labor Office – Regional branches and contact offices) 6. State employment policy (SPZ) – Active employment policy 7. License plate – Passive employment policy 8. Unemployment and its forms 9. Problem groups of the population on the labor market, tools to eliminate their exclusion - 1. 10. Problem groups of the population on the labor market, tools to eliminate their exclusion - 2. 11. The subject will be concluded with a credit verifying both the knowledge of the discussed topics and the completion of the students' practice.

Teacher's information
During ongoing studies, the student uses study support and assigned literature (study support available here: https://elearning.slu.cz/course/view.php?id=942). For the credit, the student demonstrates knowledge of mandatory literature, study support and lectures of contact teaching. The student can continuously consult individually studied subject topics via e-mail, individual or group consultations. The consultation days and hours will be determined at the beginning of the semester, but according to the needs of the students, it is also available outside of the specified consultations by prior arrangement. The seminar follows the lecture cycle, theoretical knowledge is practically verified and practiced in the form of discussions, reports, seminar papers and mini-tests, the preparation of a seminar paper, its presentation and knowledge of the required legislation are a condition for the exam.
