- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to familiarize students with the theoretical and practical aspects of holistic music therapy and the possibilities of its application in practice. The teaching takes place in an experiential workshop format, where theory intertwines with practical activities.The theoretical part focuses on:- basic foundations, directions, and possibilities of music therapy,- the effects of music on the human body,- the characteristics of holistic music therapy as a specific therapeutic direction (principles, forms, utilized tools),- an introduction to tools specific to holistic music therapy.The practical part is oriented towards the participants' own experiences and includes:- acquaintance with instruments of natural tuning,- rhythm creation,- practical use of tools within active music therapy (e.g., music therapy orchestra),- completion of receptive forms of music therapy.

Music Therapy ApproachesOverview of the main directions in music therapy: psychodynamic, behavioral, humanistic, and holistic approaches – basic principles and differences. 3. Comparison of Music Therapy ApproachesAnalysis of the differences and specifics of individual approaches with an emphasis on practical application. 4. Holistic Music Therapy – Origin and DevelopmentHistory, theoretical foundations, and current state of the holistic music therapy direction. 5. Instruments in Holistic Music TherapyCharacteristics of untempered, ethnic, and naturally tuned instruments. 6. Percussion InstrumentsBasic knowledge of the types of percussion instruments and their use in therapy. 7. Forms of Holistic Music TherapyIndividual and group work, active and receptive forms – principles and applications. 8. Active Form of Holistic Music TherapyPrinciples of leadership, preparation of the environment, and practical procedures. 9. Teamwork – active cooperation of students on assigned tasks within the group with an emphasis on sharing knowledge and practical application of theoretical knowledge.
Homework – independent processing of thematically focused tasks supporting the consolidation and expansion of the material discussed.
Completion of partial team tasks – continuous development of specific parts of a larger project or task, which subsequently serve for the final presentation.
Uploading outputs to the electronic Submission Room – submission of completed work via the university feedback and evaluation system.

- Teaching takes place in a combined form - personal participation in contact teaching is supplemented by independent study and the processing of assigned tasks. Students use the available study support, through which they complete selected correspondence tasks, demonstrating their understanding of the issues presented and knowledge from the recommended and required literature. Ongoing consultations are possible both individually and in groups - in person, online, or via email.
