Students may enroll part 2, if he/she successfully completed part 1, or if he/she is studying parts 1 and 2 at the same time. - Course objectives
- Course objectives: After completing the course successfully students will reach the 1st level of the B1 level (SERR). The course focuses primarily on the development of independent speaking and listening skills. Training takes the form of discussions, role playing, processing case studies and presentations. The receptive skills - listening and reading - are here to develop a rapid familiarization with the text, general understanding and retrieval of detailed information. Attention is also paid to the systematic development of vocational vocabulary, comprehension and study collocations and phrases. Besides the usual language skills, students deepen their searching skills for thematic information on the Internet. Moreover, students will extend the ability to work independently with interactive learning materials (DVD-ROM - including audio and video recordings).
- Learning outcomes
- The student masters the four language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—within the scope of the module’s curriculum. They understand the vocabulary required by the curriculum and can apply it in both oral and written communication. They are able to communicate about outsourcing and explain the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing for a company. Furthermore, they can present the benefits of a product at a trade fair, identify the components of an exhibition stand, and use appropriate phrases to greet guests and customers at the booth. They can describe their daily work routine, explain the reasons for their absence from the workplace, and define basic safety measures within a company. In addition, they demonstrate understanding of advertising texts, can express product features, describe distribution channels, and show the ability to moderate a company conference. They are also capable of convincingly presenting the advantages of a product and its benefits for customers.

Trade fair booth and its equipment. Maintaining contacts at the booth. Contacts after the trade fair.
3. Daily business routine
Informal conversations in the workplace. Absence from the workplace.
4. Incidents
Failures. Incidents in the workplace. Making personnel decisions. Delegating tasks.
5. Workplace safety
Small disasters in everyday business. Safety signs, safety measures, fire protection, workplace accidents.
6. Marketing and advertising
Brand names. Advertising messages. Product features.
7. Distribution channels
Suitable distribution channels. Solutions for problems and tasks. Sales conference.

- Mandatory attendance in seminars is set at 70%. The oral mid‑term test accounts for 30% of the final grade, and the written final credit test makes up the remaining 70%. Skills demonstration

- Requirements on student:
The course is finished by the course-credit.
Students will prepare a speech for the oral ongoing test to one of the above topics in the curriculum, which is evaluated by the teacher in the range from 0 to 20 points depending on the level of the speech. The written test is set at 20 points, the credit test at 60 points. Successful completion of the course is determined by obtaining at least 60 points out of 100 possible points.
