Course objectives
The goal of the course is to show the connection between the cultural differences and the social policy. The course deals with the development of the migration policy in Europe, in Czechoslovakia and in the Czech Republic. The course focuses on the understanding of intercultural differences and it importance for providing of the social care in the Czech Republic.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able:
- to explain the phenomenon of the multiculturalism and it connection with the social policy;
- to describe the development of main features of the migration policy in Europe and in the Czech Republic;
- to characterise the most important ethnic and national groups in the Czech Republic;
- to explain the importance of the cultural competencies in social care;
