Course objectives
The aim of the course is to explain the theory, the nature of the public services and their position in the economy of the State. To acquaint students with the socio-economic aspects of public services and to point out their importance in the reproductive process, with an emphasis on the development of human potential. Explain the meaning of the public service, their sectoral and organizational structure with an emphasis on the provision of public services and to point out the European Union's access to public services.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to define areas essential for understanding concepts and relationships in public services, define the basic principles of the service sector and explain its position in the economy, including its specifics, define service marketing and explain the specifics of research and market segmentation in the field of services; is able to define service quality, distinguish different types of service quality measurement and their basic techniques for ensuring, further define the specifics of the economic nature of public services, is able to understand the development of public services as a prerequisite for social development and human capital development and characterize the issue of education in public services.
