Course objectives (in Czech)
At the end of this course the students should be able to understand the principles of multi-criteria analysis and multi-objective decision support, basic concepts of AHP, construct simple hierarchical models of multi-criteria evaluation and decision support, solve hierarchical multi-criteria evaluation and decision applications by AHP and by the help of software tool Expert Choice on personal computers.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Structure of the Course:
    1. Basic principles of multi-criteria analysis.
    2. Main concepts of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP).
    3. Pairwise comparisons.
    4. Hierarchy and AHP.
    5. Applications by AHP and Expert Choice on PCs.
    6. Case studies.
    Content of the Course:
    1. Basic principles of multi-criteria analysis and multi objective decision support systems.
    2. Main concepts and common mathematical notation of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP).
    1. Pairwise comparison by Saaty's method.
    2. Construction of simple hierarchical models of multi-criteria evaluation and decision by AHP.
    3. Hierarchical multi-criteria evaluation and decision applications by AHP and Expert Choice on personal computers.
    4. Case studies in business and decision support.

    Presentation media and PC are used in the framework of education. Seminars are taught in computer classrooms. Educational materials in electronic form are available on faculty computer network.
