Course objectives (in Czech)
Prohloubit již dosažené znalosti gramatického a lexikálního systému anglického jazyka v kombinaci s intenzivním nácvikem čtyř jazykových dovedností v komunikativním kontextu. Aplikací zajímavých textů a nahrávek naučit studenty používat anglický jazyk v běžné obchodní komunikaci. Seznámit je se způsoby tvoření a obohacování slovní zásoby. Vést studenty k uvědomělému a cílevědomému používání jazyka v komunikaci jak z hlediska plynulosti, tak správnosti.

  • 1. Can Venice be saved?
    Present Perfect Simple active vs. Passive, Present Perfect Continuous.
    Giving talks and presentations.

    2. A better way of working Future tense - active vs. Passive, 1st conditional, expressing probability, Present Simple in
    time clauses.
    Arranging plans; Narrating.
    3. Doing business in China
    Modals - necessity, advice, permission, possibility, prohibition.
    Describing a process; Interviewing techniques.
    4. The cost of crime
    2nd and 3rd conditionals; Newspaper headlines.
    Business correspondence.
    5. Truth is stranger than fiction
    Reported speech; Connectors.
    Common expressions and idioms; Saying good bye.
