Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to work in an intergenerational team
  • Theory of teamwork. Intergenerational communication and conflicts. Ways of working in a team.
  • 2. Managerial skills for starting a business
  • Innate and acquired skills for business. Motives for starting a business, ethical principles of business.
  • 3. Evaluation of the idea for the project
  • Use of the CANVAS model to evaluate an idea for a business or volunteer event. Evaluation of necessary skills. Project social responsibility, benefits for social groups and society.
  • 4. Specifics of projects and its parts
  • Types of plans, creation of individual parts. Time, financial, marketing and personnel plan of project implementation.
  • 5. Evaluation of project feasibility
  • Structure of the feasibility study, use of analytical skills. Risk definition. Ways to evaluate the benefits for society and for the team.
  • 6. Ways of project presentation
  • Presentation of the project in front of a possible supporter. The main parts of the presentation. Preparation for the discussion. Description of necessary skills, art of arguing, presenting.

Assessment methods
Compulsory participation in seminars 60%, compulsory participation in practical discussions in seminars (20% of evaluation), semester project (30% of evaluation) and its defense (30% of evaluation), final discussion (20% of evaluation).
