  • 1. Principles of management in international environment
    Definitions of management. Nature and functions of management. Management process and levels of management in international environment. Roles of a manager and managerial skills.
    2. The management theory in the context of international development
    Developments in management theory. Classical theories of management. Systems and contingency to management theory. Modern approaches to management theory. Management theory and globalization.
    3. Leadership – theory and practices in international environment
    Characteristics of leadership. Theories of leadership. Motivation, early theorists, later theorists. The leadership theories in the context of international development. Authority delegation and decentralization. Difference between authority and power. Groups and group behavior. Worker participation in management in international environment. Autonomous work teams. Group dynamics.
    4. International context of management
    Organizations as systems. Business organizations and corporate government. Developing of organization cultures. Business ethics and social responsibilities of business towards different groups in international environment. The role of information technology. Tendencies towards developing a unified global management theory.
