- Student is able to explain the principles of the information society and global information infrastructure, distinguish between data, information and knowledge and apply ICT and information system concepts in e-business, identify legislative, technological, social and economic conditions of electronic business and interpret the process definition of e-commerce, characterize the structure of online stores and marketplaces including business and ownership models, classify B2B and B2C models and evaluate their effectiveness in a competitive environment, interpret the value chain and virtual value chain and apply supply chain management principles, the architecture of e-business systems and the functions of ERP and CRM, evaluate the customer environment and relationships between seller and customer, apply e-business security principles including risk management, data protection and electronic payments, trends in e-business development and the use of BI and CI tools, design abasic business concept for creating an e-shop and develop a functional e-shop using selected publicly available platformsand evaluate sustainable and ecological aspects of e-business including environmental impacts, Green IT principles and responsible online business practices.

2. E-business and E-commerce
Fundamental conditions of e-business development (legislative, technological, personal, social, etc.). Process definitions of e-business and e-commerce. Online store. Internet marketplace. Member and ownership structures.
3. Business Models
Business models B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to customer). Elements of e-business and e-commerce models. Value chain. Value of products and services in e-business. Virtual value chain. Supply chain and logistics. Supply chain management (SCM).
4. E-business System
E-business system architecture. Information flows. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Architectures, functions and modules of ERP and CRM in e-business and e-commerce.
