Jsou vysvětleny základní principy kvantové mechaniky z pohledu kanonického kvantování a jsou porovnány s přístupem přes dráhový integrál.
Syllabus
  • Original Stern-Gerlach experiment and the beginnings of quantum mechanics.
    Matrix mechanics: operators, eigenvectors, eigenvalues, basics of group theory and representation theory.
    Angular momentum: the angular momentum operator, the addition of angular momenta, spin.
    Hamiltonian formulation: time evolution operator, uncertainty relations.
    Spin, EPR paradox, Bell's inequalities.
    Schrödinger formulation: wave mechanics, eigenstates of the momentum, wave packets, group velocity, particle in potential well, scattering in one dimension.
    Harmonic oscillator, creation and annihilation operators.
    Multiparticle systems. Bosons and fermions.
    Feynman path integral: formulation and examples.
